I don’t see the need to review what gets caught in Spam Karma or Akismet at all - for rarely genuine comments are wrongly flagged as spam (unless the same visitor tries to write more than 3-4 comments on the same day!). But when I do get notification about the “comments held for moderation”, I have no choice but review those. This morning I got one - comment held for moderation, and the comment went like this:

Please, do not delete the given message. Money obtained from spam will go to the help hungry to children ugandn

At least made me smile if nothing else. If each spam email or spam comment on the blogs were to generate even one-hundredth of a penny, and was spent on helping hungry children, I’m sure thousands of children would get decent meal each day! Wishful thinking certainly
